“We are the many parts that make up the one Body of Christ.  Our mission as a Pastoral Council is to foster an environment of holiness and to strengthen the relationship between the parish and our pastor.  The council will also serve as a voice of the faithful members to provide recommendations and engage in dialogue with our pastor concerning the vision, direction, and purpose of our community, as within the structure of the guidelines of the Diocese of Charlotte and the precepts of the Roman Catholic Church.”

A key responsibility of the St. Aloysius pastoral council, working with the pastor, will be to create and maintain a pastoral plan to serve as a road map to grow and improve St. Aloysius in a rational and financially feasible manner.  The pastor and members of the pastoral council will review this pastoral plan between the June and August meeting every year to ensure that St. Aloysius is meeting the needs of its parishioners.  At the initial august meeting every year, revisions to the plan will be made and confirmation of execution of the plan will be determined in an effort to reach the overriding goal of having a unified growing parish which joyfully serves the will of God and the needs of its parishioners.

El consejo también servirá como una voz de los miembros fieles para brindar recomendaciones y entablar un diálogo con nuestro párroco sobre la visión, la dirección y el propósito de nuestra comunidad, dentro de la estructura de las pautas de la Diócesis de Charlotte y los preceptos de la Iglesia Católica Romana.”

Una responsabilidad clave del consejo pastoral de St. Aloysius, en colaboración con el párroco, será crear y mantener un plan pastoral que sirva como hoja de ruta para hacer crecer y mejorar St. Aloysius de manera racional y económicamente factible. El párroco y los miembros del consejo pastoral revisarán este plan pastoral entre las reuniones de junio y agosto de cada año para garantizar que St. Aloysius satisfaga las necesidades de sus feligreses. En la reunión inicial de agosto de cada año, se realizarán revisiones al plan y se determinará la confirmación de la ejecución del plan en un esfuerzo por alcanzar la meta primordial de tener una parroquia unida en crecimiento que sirva con alegría la voluntad de Dios y las necesidades de sus feligreses.
